Adaptors

The power points in your room operate on 240 volts (AC 50 cycles). Adaptors are available for purchase from Woolworths Supermarket. Park Regis accepts no responsibility for damage caused by use of the adaptors.

Business Services

For a small cost a complete range of business services is available including courier and mail services, photocopying, and facsimile. Please contact Reception for more information.


Car Parking

Undercover car parking is available for guests with access via Lake St. Park Regis accepts no responsibility for loss or damage to vehicles parked in this facility. Each unit is allocated specific car parking. Please park in your designated space only. Fee applies


Check-Out Time

Check out time is 10:00am. Should you wish to stay a little longer, please contact Reception and every effort will be made to assist you. Late checkout charges may apply. Should you be leaving prior to 8am on the day of your departure, please contact Reception the day prior to settle any accounts and arrange for key collection. Reception opens at 8:00am, 7 days a week and at 9:00am on Public Holidays.

A facsimile service is available at Reception. Charges are summarised below:

Reception

Reception is open from 9:00am to 5:00pm, Monday to Friday and closed on Public Holidays. Park Regis City Quays is open between 8:00am to 8:00pm, 7 days a week and 9:00am to 5:00pm on Public Holidays. Should you be departing outside of these hours, please settle your account with Reception the evening prior to departure.


Smoking Policy

For the benefit of all guests, we request that all smoking be limited to the balcony area only with the doors closed. Charges will apply to rooms requiring smoke removal. This charge is payable by the guest.


Swimming Pool

The swimming pool is located on the 3rd floor and is open from 7am to 9.30pm daily. Strictly no glass is to be taken into the pool area. All children must be supervised by an adult at all times. Guests will be required to use their access fob to gain entry, pool towels available for hire at reception for $2.


Tour Bookings

For information on a wide number of tours that operate in this area, please contact Reception who will be happy to organise all your tour bookings for you.


Wake-Up Calls

Wake-up calls can also be arranged through Reception between the hours of 8:00am and 8:00pm, 7 days a week and 9:00am to 5:00pm on Public Holidays or by setting the alarm clock located on your bedside table.


INNKEEPERS ACT

(Act No. 24, 1968, section 7)

LOSS OF OR DAMAGE TO GUESTS’ PROPERTY

Under the innkeepers’ act 1968, an innkeeper may in certain circumstances be liable to make good any loss of or damage to a guest’s property even though it was not due to any fault of the innkeeper or any servant in his employ.

This liability however –

• Extends only to the property of guests who have engaged sleeping accommodation at the inn;
• Is limited to one hundred dollars to any one guest except in the case of property which has been deposited, or offered for deposit, for safe custody;
• Does not cover any motor-vehicle or other vehicles of any kind or any property left in them, or horses or other live animals.

This notice does not constitute an admission either that the act applies to these premises or that the liability there under attaches in any particular case.

Room Facilities

Air Conditioning

Each room is fitted with an air conditioner.

a) To cool the room: Press the 1/0 to turn the air conditioner on. Press mode button to cooling mode using the button with the picture of a snowflake; and then press temp button to set a suitable temperature. Please ensure not to exceed a minimum temp of 20 degrees to avoid damage to the system.

b) Timer: Open the remote front section to reveal other functions; the timer function is located just above the mode button. Press the timer function to set time, and to turn of press timer off.


Balcony

Please do not hang towels, clothing or other items over the balcony. Please consider the guests below by not throwing rubbish or other items over the balcony.


Breakages and Damages

Please report any breakages, missing items or damaged property on arrival. The cost of replacement or repair on any items broken or damaged is the responsibility of the guest and non reported items will be on-charged after departure.

Please place your “Do not Disturb” sign on the outside of your apartment door to ensure your privacy is upheld. Please note: Your room will not be serviced with this in place.

Iron/Ironing Board

For your convenience an iron and ironing board are located in the laundry or linen cupboard of your apartment.


Keys

Please remember to take your room key and security access fob with you at all times and ensure you lock all doors and windows when leaving your apartment for security purposes. Two sets of keys are available per apartment. Loss of access tab incurs a fee of $25.00.

Lost or unreturned room keys will attract a fee of $100 per set and $100 for lost car parking remotes.


Kitchen Facilities

Each self contained apartment offers a comprehensive kitchen facility. Please always use your range hood when cooking. The range hood has a safety switch associated with them. These units will not operate unless the safety switch is on. Please contact Reception should you experience any difficulties.


Laundry Facilities

Apartments are equipped with a washing machine, dryer, ironing board & iron. Please contact Reception should you experience any difficulties.


Tea and Coffee Facilities

All apartments are provided with tea and coffee making facilities. To purchase additional supplies, please contact Reception.


Telephone

Each apartment is fitted with a direct dial telephone. Please be advised that phone calls can only be transferred during Reception hours and any calls to Reception outside of these hours will divert to an answering service/after-hours emergency manager. All external calls are automatically recorded on our call accounting system, calls are charged at the following rates:

  • Local:
    $0.49 cents for unlimited talk time (metropolitan only)
  • STD:
    $0.49 for connection and $0.49 cents per minute (within Australia)
  • ISD:
    $2.50 for connection and $0.80 cents per pulse there after (International calls)
  • Mobile:
    $0.49 for connection and $0.55 cents per minute (within Australia)

Piermonde Apartments is located within a short walk of Woolworths Supermarkets located on Lake Street, Cairns Reef Hotel Casino, Cairns Central Shopping Centre. All tours can be arranged from Reception, please contact reception for their recommendations & bookings.

Safety & Security

After Hours – Emergencies

Reception is open from 8:00am to 8:00pm on weekdays and 9:00am to 5:00pm on Public Holidays. Should you require urgent assistance outside of these hours, please dial 9 to be connected to our after-hours emergency line.

Note: Non Emergency calls after hours attract a $100 call-out fee.

Fire

This property is fitted with an advanced fire protection system which includes a fire alarm. In case of fire, please follow the procedures outlined below.

  1. If the fire alarm or automatic evacuation system sounds, please make your way to the nearest fire exit, please do not run and do not use the elevators.
  2. Do not telephone Reception as we may need the lines for Emergency Calls.
  3. Do not re-enter the building unless you are advised to do so by the Fire Brigade or Hotel Staff.
  4. False alarm charges apply and are payable by the guest. The current charge imposed by the  Fire Brigade for false alarms is $1092.95. This charge may be changed by the Fire Brigade at any time.

Security

Please be sure to secure the door on your way out and ensure it is closed and locked behind you. An intercom/security system has been installed for your convenience. The system incorporates a video monitor in every unit, a camera from the front entry point of the building, a door release system and an elevator call button.

If you are expecting a guest, they should follow the steps below:
• Push the number of the unit on the front entry keypad
• Press the bell symbol to call the unit
• The units monitor will ring 5 times for acknowledgment
• To speak with the person at the front entry, simply press the speak button
• Press the key button to give the person entry into the building and elevator access to your level

Your unit has a safe installed in the bedroom wardrobe, a 4-digit pin is required to lock and gain access.
